SUM OF ITS PARTS
Sum of its Parts is an award-winning stop motion animated short film I completed in November of 2019... just in time for festivals in early 2020. Unfortunately, its very first screening was abruptly cancelled due to COVID. Eventually, Sum of its Parts played at over 25 (mostly virtual) film fests all over the world including the Oscar-qualifying New York International Children's Film Festival.
I animated it entirely outdoors in the Hudson Valley using a technique called replacement animation. The music is by Scott Ampleford.
